Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama visited the Indian Institute of Management - AHmedabad and Indore campus.
In his 1 & 1/2 hours of session, on the topic "Business & Ethics" to the
IIM-A students, he conveyed that "Money matters are absolutely important. This cannot be denied. But then, money matters also have its implications and so there is a need for ethics. This is where moral principles come into play". He pointed out that money is important, but how it is used is of greater importance.
In Indore, the Dalai Lama described India as a cradle of religious pluralism and spoke on "Compassion and non-violence". He asked the students to use non-violence as a tool in their work.
For the first time, a spiritual guru delivered a management lecture, that too in the IIMs!
