How many more Shannoo Khans? Who do you think is responsible...

Shannoo Khan dying today, is not a lone incident. Many more innocent kids have lost their lives and innumerable are hit or humilated by the teachers. Their one common crime- not answering, studying or completing homework to the satisfaction of the teacher.

Decades ago, students went to gurukuls to study and these gurus were placed even before God in India- Maatha (mother), Pitha (Father), Guru (Teacher) and finally Dhaivam ( God).

While those Guru's taught their disciples invaluable virtues, today's "Guru's" seem to be blood-thirsty lot.

Who do you think are responsible for this transformation?

The school administration driving teachers to get students to perform exceptionally well
or The rigid education system
or Parents who expect too much out of the school
or Our tolerant and ever-forgetful society, that forgets everything after a few days of media attention

I think the mood of the teacher at the time of checking the homework many times is the main reason of becoming over harsh

But isnt it the society and shcool administration that gives the teacher right to beat up a student...
Despite all fame of yesteryears, most of the practices in our country today are nothing but infuriating

Atleast it will not be this much..now it is acceptable to hit a child to make him/her study...if it is illegal and an awareness about it is done..then it will become a much rarer occurence...
