In an interview, the employer looks for both intellectual and emotional quotient, communication skills, leadership qualities, ethics, competence, innovativeness, etc in the candidate. It is also necessary to know what the employer DOES not want in an employee. This will give an insight to the plethora of aspects to be avoided in an interview.
The following comprises of some sure ways to exit (i.e., get rejected), even before completion of the interview:
* Poor grooming
* Discourteous and ungraceful body language
* Poor manners
* Poor diction
* Vague responses
* Unappealing resume
* Monetary benefits-centric approach
* Lack of punctuality
* Poor waiting hall behavior (like smoking, chewing, flirting, gossiping, defamatory comments, talking loudly on the mobile phone)
Presenting yourself well is important and at all times you have to be polite and be well mannered.
