Executive MBA

Executive MBA or EMBA programs are typically developed to address the educational needs of managers and executives, allowing them to earn their degree while working full time. The major difference between the MBA and EMBA students is that the latter have more work experience and are either in or working towards the senior management. One of the main principals behind the working of the concept of EMBA is that people learn best by doing. The students here apply what they learn during the course in their daily tasks/ activities and understand better. You should consider an EMBA when you get promoted or anticipate an advancement in your career, as it would equip you better for the new/expected post.
Why should you consider EMBA?
1. A significant choice of courses are offered in EMBA (though not on par with full time MBA) and the students can decide the classes offered. In some instances if a class is not offered, the administration could accommodate and provide one if there is enough interest.
2. Classes are typically smaller than that of a traditional MBA. So more interaction with the faculty and peers is possible
3. As all the students are quite experienced the faculty will consist of a powerful network of CEOs, CFOs, Senior Vps, etc and quality networking can also take place here.
4. Also you could learn a lot from your peers, as they will also be experienced and knowledgeable.
5. Companies tend to pay for the course or subsidize a large portion of it.
6. You earn a full salary while studying, so your opportunity cost is greatly decreased.
7. Also you could learn a lot from your peers, as they will also be experienced and knowledgeable.
So have you started considering EMBA yet?

ive heard and researched for distance learning...but the major drawback is that there is no personal intercation between the students and the proffesors..and in case of doubts students normally go in a fix....there is no interaction between students as well...and a lot of connections are made in mba schools which i wont be able to....and i always believe if you want to do an mba....do it right...so i hope considering everything said u can help me out...
