Founded in 1998, IIM-Indore happens to be the youngest member of the IIM family and in 11 years of its inception it has developed into one of the leading B schools around India. It has successfully proved its mettle over the years and has convincingly carved a niche for itself among other management giants in the competition.
The institute offers a curriculum that is considered extremely effective for building up of good management professionals .The course of this institute does not only cater to requirements that are academic but those that are economic as well. 1. PGP (The Post Graduate Programme in Management):
Indian Institute of Management Indore gives its full thrust of the curriculum on the PGP that happens to be a offers a full time course of two years duration. This programme is designed as to provide concepts as well as analytical tools designed to enhance the understanding of business processes. The students are offered with the Post graduate diploma in Management.(PGDM)
2. Management Development Programme and Faculty development Programme:
These are the programs that aim to develop the managerial skills of professionals .Varying in duration, they are held through out the year.
3. Executive Post Graduate Programme:
For people with work experience and entrepreneurs this course is designed especially for them. This a course of 18 months duration .The first batch graduated in March 2004.This is a programme aimed for these working professionals to improve their already acquired skills.
4. Faculty:
A unique blend of both experience and youth is reflected in the faculty team of the institute. However, all of them having a post doctorate degree is common. Apart from a brilliant group of academicians and researchers in different areas of management, the institute also involves persons from the corporate and experts from other leading B schools offering lectures as visiting faculty to augment the curriculum of Post Graduate Programme in Management.
5. Facilities:
On its foundation day the campus shifted to its new 193 acre campus on a hill near the village of Rau.Erected amidst green meadows is a perfect visual beauty that happens to play an amazing role in the Institute`s march towards excellence.
