Within a very short period, the number of such institutions has gone up to as high as 800-900 .Globalization and demand for quality management professionals has led to the mushrooming of B schools through out the country. This leads to a very important question that is how to choose a good B school.

Difficulty to choose

The quality of education provided by all these B schools is diversified. They range from extremely superior quality education of the IIMs to equally inferior quality of many B schools .Out of this nearly 900 Management Institutions the ones worth joining are the top 90 amongst these B schools. The salaries have hit the rooftop and so have the expectations of the organization who intend to hire them. Management education has in recent times become a requirement even to get a mediocre job. Thus it can be said that unlike previous cases when a MBA degree meant a good job for sure, the scene have changed considerably. Following surveys of business magazines that enlists the management institutes according to their quality is not of much help as none of them tally with one another. Its confusion everywhere and that is exactly where this article might come handy.

Basis of selection

Placement is an extremely important criterion to choose a particular management college, because at the end of the day it is the placement that arguably matters the most. • Quality of students
Quality of students is another very important factor that determines if a management institute is good or mediocre. The best institutes are places where best of students can be seen. The better the institute, the more it is difficult to get into them. Thus it can always be implied that only the cream students of the society can make it into a good B school.

  • Good infrastructure of the B-School
Good infrastructure of the B school is extremely important to determine the quality of a B school. Good library, good hostel accommodation, good dining facilities, regular internet connectivity and certain other things matter when it comes to the selecting a good B school.

  • Location of the B-School
Location of the B school matter is also a major determinant of a good B school. Location here refers to geographical location. If a management institute is located in close proximity of industries chances of getting better placements are more.
